Kia unveils attractive Sonet SUV concept in Delhi

Kia has taken covers off its new Sonet compact SUV concept at Auto Expo 2020 in Delhi. The concept will be developed further ahead of its scheduled launch in India in the second half of 2020.

    Looks

The Sonet spots a rather familiar modern Kia look that is similar to the new Seltos. These include KIA’s signature ‘tiger-nose’ grille, stepwell geometry within the grille mesh, ‘tiger-eyeline’ daytime running lights, and wide rear signature lighting.

    Interior

The cabin is fitted with a 10,25-inch infotainment and navigation system with UVO Connect, a Bose premium audio system, and an intelligent manual transmission (iMT). Kia says, “[the] KIA Sonet concept also hints at best-in-class interior space, and certain first-in-class features.”

Where does it fit in the range?

In terms of dimensuins, the Sonet Concept would slot below the Seltos and be similar in size to group relative, the Venue. The Sonet would most likely do battle against the popular Volkswagen.

No mention has been made of local availability.
