    Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque special editions coming to SA

    Later this year, Land Rover South Africa will add special editions to the Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque line-ups. These special editions will feature captivating and distinctive design enhancements available in various exterior colours.

    Discovery Sport Urban Edition

    Dubbed the Urban Edition, this Discovery Sport is based on the on the R-Dynamic specification which features distinctive design elements including shadow aluminium finishers, non-leather LuxtecSuedecloth seats and a contrasting black roof. The Urban Edition is available in six exterior colours, namely Namib Orange, Carpathian Grey, Firenze Red, Santorini Black, Ostuni White and Hakuba Silver.

    Powering the Discovery Sport Urban Edition will be a choice of two four-cylinder Ingenium powertrains. The D200 turbodiesel produces 147kW/430Nm with acceleration from 0-100km/h in 8.6 seconds, while the 183kW/365Nm P250 turbopetrol delivers 0-100km/h in 7.8 seconds. Both are paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

    The Urban Edition features Land Rovers fancy new ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirror technology and a convenient powered tailgate.

    Range Rover Evoque Bronze Collection

    The Range Rover Evoque Bronze Collection is based on the Evoque S specification. It includes a Corinthian Bronze contrast roof, Burnished Copper side vents and exclusive new Satin Dark Grey 20-inch five split-spoke alloy wheels.The Bronze Collection Evoque is equipped with Premium LED headlights with signature Daylight Running Lights (DRLs) and sequential turn signals. The Bronze Collection is available in three exterior colours, namely Carpathian Grey, Santorini Black and Seoul Pearl Silver.

    Inside, the special edition Evoque features Natural Grey Ash veneers, unique Bronze Collection carpet mats with metal-capped corners, Ebony grained leather seats, ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirror and a sliding panoramic sunroof.

    Powering the Bronze Collection Special Edition is a range of powerful and efficient D200, P250 and P300eIngenium petrol and diesel engines. The efficient P300e Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) combines a 1.5-litre Ingenium three-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor for a smooth zero-emissions pure-electric driving range of 55km according to Jaguar. Efficiency is remarkable: the Range Rover Evoque P300e emits just 44g/km of CO2 and delivers fuel economy as low as 2.0l/100km.

    The PHEV’s SAVE mode has also been enhanced by allowing the system to recharge more effectively on the move when battery charge is being saved for a later part of the journey – at a steady 113km/h, up to 80 percent of the battery charge can be attained in just 90 minutes

    Availability and pricing

    The Discovery Sport Urban Edition and Range Rover Evoque Bronze Collection Special Edition are planned for South African introduction in the fourth quarter of 2021. All Land Rovers are offered with a standard Land Rover Care Plan which includes a 100,000 km warranty and servicing within in 5 year period.
