    Locally, Renault’s Triber has been on sale for just over two years and the French automaker’s local arm will be expanding the Triber range with the new Triber Express Panel Van for customers who want a light commercial vehicle for their small business needs.

    Cargo load area

    The new Renault Triber Express Panel Van has been specifically modified for maximum convenience within the Light Commercial Market.  The newcomer features a load capacity of 1 500L and a payload of 542kg, with load access points from the rear doors and boot. Adding to that, the interior of the vehicle is equipped with smart storage spaces of up to 31L, including a centre console and lower glove box. For durability and enhanced safety, the rear loading bay is equipped with steel mesh.

    The cockpit of the new Triber Express Panel Van features a dual-tone trim and striking finishes, with the likes of a new centre fascia with sleek chrome edges, a stylish dual-tone dashboard with silver accents and a fully digital instrument cluster with LED illumination. It also features an infotainment system which comes integrated with R&Go radio, Bluetooth, together with USB and AUX ports.

    The driver’s seat offers 6-way adjustable capabilities to facilitate greater driving comfort and convenience, with front power windows.

    Safety and security

    The new Triber Express Panel Van is equipped with ABS and EBD, and high passive safety levels with equipment such as: remote central locking, speed sensing door locking, emergency lock retractor, 3-points front seat belts with retractors., a Pyrotechnic pre-tensioner driver seat belt, load limiter driver + passenger seat belts, seat belt reminder (Driver & Front passenger), dual airbags (driver and passenger) & reinforced body structure.

    The Triber Express also features a dual hooter as an effective early warning system, as well as LED indicators housed within the side mirrors for better visibility of driving intent.

    Powertrain

    Powering the new Triber Express Panel Van is a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine generating 52kW and 96Nm. It’s paired to a 5-speed manual transmission and Renault claims it will average 5.5L/ 100km.

    Pricing and warranty

    The new Triber Express Panel Van is priced at R219,900. It comes standard with a 2-year/ 30 000km Service Plan, plus a 5-year/150 000km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Services take place at 15 000km intervals.
