Goodyear recently hosted a unique driving experience event for select customers at the renowned Kyalami Grand Prix Circuit where the brand sampled their new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 tyre that’s EV-ready and said to reduce noise and rolling resistance.

The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 builds on the award-winning Eagle F1 Asymmetric 5 tyre thanks to new technology that’s said to improve dry performance, wet braking, wet handling and electric vehicle suitability. It has been designed to suit a wide range of cars, including hot hatches, sporty compacts, family cars, luxury sedans and sports coupes.

Every tyre in Goodyear’s range is EV-ready, but Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 has been specifically designed with manufacturers’ EV requirements in mind. Its noise canceling pattern is said to result in a reduction of 1 dB, shown on the tyre label, while its new compound technology reduces rolling resistance, to help increase electric range.

Shane Petersen, Director of Consumer Business, Goodyear South Africa said “Goodyear has a proud heritage of delivering innovative tyres to South African drivers for over 75 years. We now proudly present the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6, the latest in our award-winning range of Eagle F1 tyres.

“With key innovations to improve dry performance and wet braking and handling, it is ready for the most demanding performance, simultaneously reassuring and thrilling drivers.”
