Suzuki Auto South Africa has started 2025 on a high note, setting four new sales records in January. According to naamsa, Suzuki sold 6,399 new passenger vehicles, surpassing its previous best from November 2024 by 370 units. This achievement secures Suzuki’s position as the second-best-selling vehicle brand in South Africa.

Dealer sales accounted for 4,534 units, breaking the April 2024 record, while fleet, rental, and government sales reached 1,865 units. Leading the charge was the new fourth-generation Swift, which saw an impressive 2,628 units sold—the highest since June 2022. Since its November 2024 launch, the Swift has made waves with its stylish design, fuel-efficient 1.2L engine, and advanced safety features, earning finalist spots in major automotive awards, including the SA Car of the Year and World Urban Car of the Year.

The Fronx crossover SUV followed with 771 units sold, while the seven-seater Ertiga recorded 637 sales. These figures reflect Suzuki’s growing influence in the local market, driven by its diverse lineup and reputation for reliability.

Suzuki’s strong start to 2025 builds on a successful 2024, where the brand consistently set new benchmarks. The company attributes this momentum to its commitment to affordability, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Henno Havenga, General Manager of Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto SA, expressed gratitude to both the dealer network and loyal customers: “These milestones would not have been possible without our dedicated dealers and customers who believe in our products. Their support drives us to keep delivering affordable, high-quality vehicles.”

With a promising lineup and continued customer trust, Suzuki Auto South Africa looks poised for another record-breaking year.
