Changan has launched the CS75 Pro in South Africa, expanding its local lineup with a family-focused SUV that aims to balance modern tech, strong performance and competitive pricing. The new model is available in both five and seven seat versions, with introductory pricing starting at R429,900.

    Bold design and practical appeal

The CS75 Pro brings a confident look to the midsize SUV segment. A large mesh grille, LED daytime running lights and sharp body lines give it a modern road presence, while chrome detailing adds a touch of polish. The overall design leans toward a more upscale feel compared to many rivals at this price point.

Interior built around comfort and usability

Inside, the cabin mixes practicality with a premium-leaning layout. The 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, stop-start functionality and digital driver display form the heart of the tech package. Electric seats, an electric panoramic sunroof and an electric tailgate add convenience.

The CS75 Pro also offers good everyday versatility. Models with seven seats include a folding third row, dual ISOFIX points and a variety of storage spaces, making it suitable for families or buyers who need occasional extra seating.

    Technology focused on everyday convenience

Changan has fitted the CS75 Pro with several features usually seen in higher segments. These include a 360 degree HD camera system, intelligent voice control and a range of driver assistance technologies. The aim is to make daily driving easier rather than overwhelm buyers with unnecessary tech.

    Powertrain and driving experience

Under the bonnet is Changan’s 1.5 litre Blue Whale turbo petrol engine producing 138 kW and 300 Nm. It is paired with a 7 speed dual-clutch transmission, and Changan claims an average fuel consumption of 7.5 L per 100 km.

Local tuning for South African roads helps the SUV deliver smooth acceleration and stable handling, with a focus on comfort and predictable responses.

Safety features designed for peace of mind

The CS75 Pro comes with a strong list of safety equipment. Standard features include ABS, EBD, multiple airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, hill hold, hill descent control and an advanced driver assistance suite with adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking. Parking sensors and a 360-degree camera system improve visibility in tight spaces.

    Pricing and model range

    • CS75 Pro 1.5DCT CS (5-seater): R429,900
    • CS75 Pro 1.5DCT CS (7-seater): R449,900
    • CS75 Pro 1.5DCT CE (5-seater): R474,900
    • CS75 Pro 1.5DCT CE (7-seater): R499,900

This pricing positions the CS75 Pro well below many established competitors while offering a notably high specification.

    Warranty and service plan

    All CS75 Pro models include:

    • 5-year / 150 000 km warranty
    • 5-year / 90 000 km service plan
