    Hello on this #chooseday. Today I’m driving the @mercedesbenzsa GLC63s and GLC 63s Coupé. Great if you want some performance and are also a family person or you just like performance SUVs. Looks extremely good and it’s super quick. Pricing: Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S 4Matic+: R1,572,602 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S Coupé 4Matic+: R1,689,067 @mfuphi • • • #mercedes #benz #bestornothing #mercedesbenz #mercedesbenzfans #glc63s #glc63s #glccoupe #coupe #suv #speed #power #premium #luxury #mercedesbenzglc

One immediately assumes that being a young successful responsible family man (or lady for that matter) requires the stereotypical station wagon, sedan or an ordinary SUV as a daily ride. Fear not because Mercedes Benz has other ideas about this segment of the market in their new GLC AMG 63 S and GLC 63 S Coupe models that were recently launched this month. These are no ordinary mid-size SUVs, but are rather performance SUVs which pack superior power and the aesthetics and practicality to match. We recently attended the launch of these performance SUVs and had a full day to interact with them.

    Exterior

The exterior of the both the GLC AMG 63 S and GLC 63 S Coupe are quite compelling. True to their sportiness, both vehicles dawn the Panamericana grille, which was previously reserved for the AMG G family of sports cars. Another striking feature of the AMG GLC 63 S models is the black Mercedes Benz badge which appears larger than life on the grille and commands attention. The vehicles have a wide front bonnet and wide fenders which appear to be inspired by the design of a jet wing. The wider wheel arch claddings at the front and back adds to the muscular look of the AMG GLC 63 S models. Both the AMG GLC 63 S and the AMG GLC 63 S Coupe appear to sit lower which gives them a sportier look and feel. The AMG GLC 63 S is first SUV to have a spoiler lip included in it while the Coupe also dawns a spoiler lip that has been seen in other type of vehicles. To sum it in a phrase, these performance SUV have expressive exterior aesthetics, and they are difficult to walk by without taking a second look.

    Interior

The interior of the AMG GLC 63 S models is inspired by the motorsport as it has a performance steering wheel which comes in nappa leather and microfiber. This ensures optimal grip due when approaching those tight corners. The driver and front passenger are hugged by large sports seats which offer lateral support and a comfortable sitting position. The thing I enjoyed the most about the interior of these models was the attention to detail by Mercedes Benz, for instance, the front head rests are littered with AMG badges and the carpets are also graced by the AMG badge. Further the dashboard of the models have beautiful diamond stitching which further illustrate the craftsmanship of these AMG models. In addition, the AMG GLC 63 S offers all the advantages of an SUV such as ample room for passengers and luggage, comprehensive array of safety equipment and superior traction, also in the wet or slippery road conditions.

    Superior Power

The AMG GLC 63 S and Coupe are both 4MATIC+ and are powered by an eight-cylinder biturbo engine which puts out 375 kW of power and maximum torque of 700Nm. The GLC 63 S and GLC63 S Coupe complete the acceleration of zero to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, making them the fastest accelerating Mercedes-Benz SUVs. Performance comes quick as you slice through the 9-speed transmission gearbox.

    Some fun in the sun and on the track. I’m driving the GLC63S and GLC63S Coupé. In the videos I’m testing the GLC’s electronic stability program. @mfuphi #DriveWithConfidence #GLC63s #GLC63sCoupe #coupe #amg #amgfans #merc #mercfans #mercedesfans #FastSUVs #Mercedesbenz #benz #mercedes #speed #racing #fun #responsible #driving @salaontop @dumisa_khulekani @siphile_buthelezi @phumemkhungo

    The drive

We sampled the vehicle on the track and open road. On the track, one got to experience the AMG GLC 63 S’ cornering, stability, speed and braking capabilities. From the various experiences one simply concluded that the technology in this vehicle is splendid. The sports suspension of the AMG GLC 63 S has a spring damper setup which ensures that the vehicle continuously adjusts to ensure that driving conditions are optimal. We also got to experience the electronic stability programme of the AMG GLC 63 S and the vehicle certainly behaves and firmly sticks on the road at high speed despite the swerving manoeuvres we experimented with on the track.

Upon leaving the race track, we got to sample the vehicles on the open road as we drove from Centurion to Haarties. The AMG GLC 63 S is very comfortable drive even on uneven roads that we encountered on our journey. The AMG GLC 63 S is quite noisy when it is on Sport + model and definitely intimidates the odd fastlane hogger. Overall impressions of both the GLC 63 S and the GLC63 S Coupe is that these are very powerful SUVs that you could live with every day as they are very practical, especially if you are a buyer with family needs.

    Pricing

The pricing of the Mercedes AMG GLC 63 S is as follows:

    – AMG GLC 63 S – R 1665 000.00

    – AMG GLC 63 S Coupe – R1 679 605.00
