New Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross launches in SA, we have prices

Mitsubishi Motors South Africa is expanding its stable with the introduction of the Eclipse Cross model. Available in 4.2 and AWD, the Eclipse Cross models are fitted with a 6-speed CVT gearbox with Sports Mode coupled to a 2.0-litre four-cylinder MIVEC petrol engine.
The interior boasts what Mitsubishi calls an advanced human-centric cockpit and an optional 7 inch touchscreen Infotainment system (with built-in GPS), Bluetooth and Apple Car Play and Android. A touchscreen radio comes standard.
It comes with a host of features such as a tilt and telescopic multi-function leather steering wheel, cruise control, Bluetooth, paddle shifts, electric windows (front and rear), leather seats, heated front seats plus USB ports.
The exterior features electric adjustable fold-away mirrors with indicator light, projector halogen headlights with manual levelling device, daytime running lights, dusk sensing headlamps, front fog lamps, headlamp washer, rain sensing windscreen wipers, front and rear park distance control, front bumper skid plate finished in silver, 18 inch alloys, full-size spare wheel plus roof rails.
Safety comes from 7 airbags, reinforced impact safety evolution body construction, side-impact protection bars, ISOFIX child seat anchors, ABS, active yaw control, EBD, brake assist system, hill start assist and central locking.
Power is at 110 kW at 6 000 rpm and 198 Nm of torque at 4 200 rpm.
Fuel consumption is 7.9l/100km for the 4×2 and 8.1l/100km for the AWD derivative.
Mitsubishi charges R399,995 and R449,995 respectively.
Both models are covered by Mitsubishi’s Manufacturer’s Warranty of 3 years or 100,000km, a 5-year / 90,000 km Service Plan and a
5-year / unlimited mileage Roadside Assistance.
Service intervals are every 15,000 km.
