The Duster has been a runaway success for Renault selling in excess of 16,000 units since launch locally. With 4×2 models of the second iteration having graced the local scene last year, Renault has introduced a 4×4 model to complete the range.

The 4×4 model gains new 16 inch wheels, aluminium roof bars, and front and rear skid plates. Additionally, the grille gets a chrome finish, a more sculptured side profile and a new C-shaped light signature.

The 4×4 Duster not only gains new looks but its 4×4 credentials are cemented with a ground clearance of210mm plus  approach and departure angles of 30° and 34° angles respectively. Drivers will also benefit from a standard Hill Descent Control.

With the Transmission Mode Selector available on the 4×4 Model, the driver is able to switch between 3 driving modes: 2WD Mode where the engine torque is distributed to the front wheels, Automatic Mode allowing distribution of engine torque over the 4 wheels or Lock Mode for engine torque distribution to all four wheels.

The all new Renault Duster 4×4 is powered by a 1.5 dCi engine with 80kW of power and 260Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed Dual-Clutch Manual Automatic gearbox. Renault claims a fuel consumption of 5.2L/100km.

The new Renault Duster 4×4 is priced from R327,900.
