Set to challenge the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe and BMW X6, Porsche has revealed its new Cayenne Coupe and it looks attractive.

First things first, the Cayenne Coupe joins the much-contested crossover segment with two engine options, six-cylinder 3.0-litre turbocharged engine with 250 kW and 450 Nm. Fitted with the Sport Chrono Package, it sprints from 0-100 km/h in 6.0 seconds, opting for the lightweight sports packages drops the sprint time to 5.9 seconds before hitting a top speed at 243 km/h.

The top-of-the-range Cayenne Turbo Coupé gets 4.0-litre V8 engine with twin-turbocharging, 404 kW and 770 Nm. It dashes from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 286 km/h.

Each Cayenne Coupe features a massive, standard 23 square-foot (2.16 square-meter) panoramic fixed-glass roof, however, a contoured carbon top is optional. An adaptive roof spoiler (available on the standard Cayenne) is also available, as is a new adaptive rear spoiler that extends 135 mm at 90 km/h and up.

Local availability and pricing to be announced soon.
