While we are waiting for Audi’s fully-electric E-Tron to touch base followed by its Sportback counterpart, the duo is set to be joined by E-Tron GT in the second half of 2020.

Audi plans to have a total of 12 all-electric cars on sale by the middle of the next decade. An A4 sized is also on the cards to rival Tesla’s Model 3.

According to Audi, the development of the smaller electric sedan has already started and it will ride on the same Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform as the pictured E-Tron GT.

The platform comes from the joint effort between Audi and Porsche. The first PPE-based models are scheduled to hit the market towards the end of 2021.

Reports Autocar, the A4-sized EV is assigned for a 2023 release; meaning that a production model should be ready by 2022.
