    Toyota’s refreshed hybrid Prius is now available in South Africa. The updated Prius sees mild interior and exterior improvements.

    Upfront restyled front and rear bumpers of the give the Prius a fresh look. New headlights with bi-beam LEDs and restyled LED fog lamps complete the new front updates. At the back, new combination LED lights mirror the shape of the headlights and give the car a trendy overall exterior design.

    Two new exterior metallic paint finishes – Fierce Red and Sky Blue metallic – have been added to the colour options available to owners.

    Inside the white console gives way to a Piano Black console. The redesign centre console further incorporates two cupholders, seat heating switches and a newly added wireless phone charger.

    The petrol-electric hybrid drivetrain combining a 1.8-litre Atkinson cycle petrol engine with two motor generators continues to fire the range with a total power output of 100 kW. Fuel consumption for the combined cycle is a claimed efficient 3.7l/100km.

    The updated Prius is priced from R490,200.
