Audi RS Q8 Debuts at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show

Audi has finally revealed the Audi RS Q8 at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show and speed lovers will have a field day with this premium large SUV as it has recently set a record for the fastest SUV at the Nürburgring Nordschleife racetrack.

    Power and more power

The Audi RS Q8 is powered by an eight-cylinder twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 petrol engine which pushes out a 441 kW of power and 800 Nm of torque. The RS Q8 can move from standstill to 100km/h in just 3.8 seconds, which makes it only two-tenths of a second slower than the Lamborghini Urus. The RS Q8 has a top speed of 305 km/h. To assist with the spirited driving, the Audi RS Q8 is an all-wheel drive, made wider at the front and the rear compared to the standard Q8 and has a sportier roof-mounted spoiler providing more downforce on the rear axle for increased stability at high speeds.

    Looks

Some standout exterior features of the Audi RS Q8 are its coupe-ish swoopy roofline, the giant air intakes up front and the pair of oval exhaust tips reserved to the RS models, make the vehicle slick and sexy. The RS Q8 has 22-inch wheels wrapped in the largest tires ever fitted as standard on a production Audi, measuring 295/40. If you want to go larger, a 23-inch set is available as an optional extra.

    Interior

Inside, the RS Q8 has sport seats covered in black leather and Alcantara adorned by the embossed RS logo. The Audi virtual cockpit and MMI display has RS-specific displays in the digital instrument cluster as a standard feature.

We can’t wait for the Audi RS Q8 to land in South Africa sometime in 2020, hopefully.
