Porsche has revealed its sportiest crossover SUV money can buy, the Macan GTS. This is not Porsche’s first Macan GTS (Gran Turismo Sport), the first-ever GTS badged Macan debuted at the Tokyo Motor Show back in 2015. The 2020 model has a revised exterior, interior design and enhanced performance.

    New look

The design of Porsche’s Leipzig built luxury; high-performance crossover SUV remains nearly identical to the pre-facelift. Updates to the exterior include a tweaked front and rear-bumper featuring black coated elements, new side skirts, a new lightbar which merges the rear-lights and a more prominent diffuser surrounding the quad tail-pipes. The Macan GTS can be ordered with satin-gloss black coated 20-inch RS Spyder Design wheels.

Inside, the Macan GTS is fitted with GTS exclusive sports seats with headrests embossed with ‘GTS’. Materials like Alcantara and brushed aluminium makes the interior feel premium. The Macan GTS adopts the landscape infotainment screen layout seen in Porsche’s latest model range.

    Performance

The 2020 Porsche Macan GTS is powered by a 2.9-litre V6 biturbo engine delivering 280 kW of power (up by 15 kW) and 520 Nm of torque.

Combined with the newly adapted PDK dual-clutch transmission and the optional Sport Chrono Package, it will sprint from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.7 seconds. Its top speed is limited to 261 km/h. Porsche claims a combined fuel consumption of 9.6l and 9.5l per 100 km.
