Are you in the market for a luxurious, performance SUV with exclusive carbon trims and bonkers amounts power? Well, Land Rover’s Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition might just be what you are looking for.

    Stealthy design

The Carbon Edition adds extensive carbon fibre detailing to the exterior of the Range Rover SVR. The centre of the bonnet, with integrated cooling vents, has been dressed in carbon fibre. The mirror caps, front bumper insert surrounds, grille, vent surrounds, and tailgate finishers are all finished in carbon fibre. The Special Vehicles Operations Range Rover is sitting on 22-inch Gloss Black alloy wheels.

Before getting inside, you will be greeted by illuminated “SVR Carbon Edition” door sills. Exclusive to the SVR are supportive lightweight (30 kg less than Range Rover Sport) perforated performance seats. The Windsor leather finished seats have been embossed with the SVR logo on the headrests.

    Underneath the bonnet

Powering the British brute is a 5.0L Supercharged V8 producing a whopping 423 kW and 700 Nm. It will sprint to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and will run out of steam at 283 km/h. Land Rover promises the Ranger Rover SVR will still be comfortable and all-terrain capable.

    Local availability and pricing

The Range Rover Sport SVR Carbon Edition is scheduled for South Africa in the fourth quarter of 2020. Pricing will be made available closer to the time.
