Renault Koleos gets minor tech and looks upgrades

The flagship Renault Koloes has received minor changes, gaining more tech and luxury features.
Exterior
The new Renault Koleos will now feature a more pronounced front grille, with luxurious chrome inlets that extend to the chrome-underlined fog lamps. What stands out more in the front end are the new LED headlights and can seen in the rear as well. These are integrated with the new dynamic indicators. The rest of the SUV takes on the phase, why “fix it if it’s not broken” attitude in terms of the design.

Interior
Occupants of the Koleos still get to enjoy dual-zone climate control, while infotainment is displayed from a 7.0-inch horizontal screen on Expression grade and 8.7-inch vertical screen the Dynamique grade. These modes are equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. Both the USB portals that are located under the center console ensure that everyone is never out of battery power on their devices. The mood of most of the night can be is set via the customisable LED cabin lighting.
Technology and safety
The new Koleos boasts suite of driver-assistance systems that include Blind Spot Warning (BSW) and 360-degree Park Assist sensor system (all sensors). Other comfort features include Keyless entry and Powerlift Tailgate.

Engine
The new Renault Koleos retains the 2.5-litre petrol engine that is paired with a ‘seven-step’ CVT transmission. It produces 126kW/233Nm of torque and claimed combined fuel consumption of 8.1l/100km.
Model Line-up pricing
The minor change Renault Koleos comprises of the following models and is priced as follows:
- Koleos Expression 2.5 CVT 4×2 R484,900 (incl. VAT); and
- Koleos Dynamique 2.5 CVT 4×2 R484,900 (incl. VAT).
Prices include a 5-year/100,000 km mechanical warranty; a 5-year/90,000km service plan and a 6-year anticorrosion warranty.
