The Hyundai Atos was launched almost two years ago in South Africa and Hyundai Automotive SA has now added a new Atos 1.1 Motion derivative with a five-speed Automatic Manual Transmission (AMT).

    Powertrain

The ATOS, which slots into the local Hyundai range below the Grand i10, is still powered by a 1.1-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that delivers 50 kW and 99 Nm. The Korean automaker’s local arm claims a fuel consumption of 5.9L/100 km.

    Standard features

Here is a list of standard features which come with the Hyundai Atos: a 7-inch touch screen, and with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity, a multifunction steering, a dedicated USB charging socket, a 12V power socket, an air conditioner, electrically controlled front side windows, stylish seats, and central locking.

Safety features include airbags for the driver and front passenger, ISOFIX child safety seat attachment points on the rear seat bench.

    Pricing and warranty

The recommended retail prices (including VAT) of the range are R175,500 for the Atos 1.1 Motion (manual) and R180,900 for the Atos 1.1 Motion (AMT).

Prices include a 7-year/200,000 km warranty, a 1-year/15,000 km service plan and roadside assistance for 7 years or 150,000 km are also part of the package.
