Luxury car manufacturer, Mercedes-Maybach, has lifted the veils off the Edition 100 models based on the Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and GLS. Both of these models pay tribute to the Maybach W 3 – the very first Maybach vehicle which debuted at a motor show in Berlin back in 1921.
Exterior and interior
The Edition 100 models are based on the current generation Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and GLS models which get a unique two-tone Cirrus Silver / Nautical Blue hand-painted finish, a set of forged monoblock alloy wheels and “Edition 100” badging on the rear-most pillars and lettering on the door sills.
Interior
Inside, the Edition 100 models get sound-deadening materials and customers can either opt for a special leather interior or a designo crystal white/silver gray pearl one. Equipment highlights in the luxobarge include the noise-insulated first-class rear compartment with Burmester 4D surround sound system, heat and massage functions for the seats and high-tech screens for infotainment.
Performance
Powering the Edition 100 S-Class is a 6-litre V12 engine producing 456 kW. The GLS Edition 100 is powered by a 4-litre V8 making 415 kW.
Both models are limited to 100 units. Orders for the limited special series will be accepted from the fourth quarter of 2021.
