Suzuki has unveiled the third generation Celerio. The new Celerio boasts a new exterior design, a new platform and a new fuel-efficient 1.0-litre petrol engine.

    Exterior

Design highlights of the new Celerio include a chrome strip running across the center of the patterned grille that’s flanked by halogen headlights, a contrasting lower bumper with fog lights and black coated 15-inch alloy wheels. The new Celerio is 3,695 millimeters long, 1,655mm wide, and 1,555 millimetres tall.

The new Suzuki Celerio is available with the following exterior colours: Arctic White, Silky Silver, Speedy Blue, Glistening Gray, Caffeine Brown, and Solid Fire Red.

    Interior

Inside, the new Celerio features a multifunctional steering wheel and a 7-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity sitting centered atop a striking dashboard. For increased luggage capacity and practicality the new Celerio’s rear seats fold 60:40 split.

    Powertrain

Powering the new Suzuki Celerio is a new 1.0-litre K10c Dualjet dual-VVT engine making 49 kW (66hp) and 89 Nm. The new Celerio is paired to either a 5-speed manual transmission or an Auto Gear Shift which is the brand’s automated manual transmission. New to the Celerio is a start/stop function which should reduce fuel consumption.

The new Celerio is based on the automaker’s Heartect platform which it shares with cars like the Suzuki Swift and S-Presso. It also features dual-airbags and hill hold assist.
