    Mazda CX-30 gets Carbon Edition treatment

    Mazda South Africa has announced that the CX-30 will get Carbon Edition treatment which it has already rolled out in the CX-5 line-up. The Carbon Edition Package on the CX-30 adds the following: black cloth seating, red stitching on the IP-upper, console lid, door arm rest, door trip middle, knee pads and seats, black colour exterior mirrors, and black 18-inch alloy wheels.

    CX-30 Carbon Edition standard equipment 

    The CX-30 Carbon Edition comes standard with auto leveling LED headlamps, power folding mirrors, 18-inch 215/55 R18 tyres, keyless entry, an electronically adjustable drivers seat with lumbar support and memory function, an 8-inch touchscreen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-Inch TFT LCD Digital Meter, an 8 speaker sound system, Head-Up display, an Electronic Park Brake (EPB), two USB ports, and 60:40 split rear seats to name a few. 

    The Mazda CX-30 Carbon Edition will be available in six colours including the new Platinum Quartz exterior paint. 

    Safety and security 

    Security and safety features include super lock system, engine immobiliser, burglar alarm system, driver, passenger, side and curtain airbags, ISOFIX anchor points, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA). Driver assistance systems include Auto Hold, Hill Launch Assist (HLA), Blind Spot Monitoring (BSM), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Driver Attention Alert (DAA). 

    Performance

    The CX-30 Carbon Edition is powered by a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine producing 121 kW and 213 Nm. The engine is paired with a 6-Speed automatic transmission and its combined fuel consumption is at a claimed 6.6l/100 km. 

    Mazda CX-30 line-up and pricing 

    The model line-up will now consist of four derivatives:

    1) Mazda CX-30 2.0L Active 6AT;
    2) Mazda CX-30 2.0L Dynamic 6AT;
    3) Mazda CX-30 2.0L Carbon Edition 6AT; and 
    4) Mazda CX-30 2.0L Individual 6A. 

    Pricing starts at R469,900 and R509,000 for the Carbon Edition.
