BMW M recently took a prototype M3 Touring to “The Green Hell” for a few hot laps around the famous race track. In the seventh episode of the “B’ring it on” story the talented Jörg Weidinger got behind the wheel of the soon to be launched M3 Touring and race around the challenging 20.832 kilometres race track. The potent newcomer lapped the Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 35.060 seconds making it the fastest station wagon to ever lap the Nordschleife and dethroning the previous record-holder – the Mercedes-AMG E 63S 4Matic+.

BMW will unveil the new M3 Touring on the 23rd of June 2022. Its first public debut will be at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed which is also scheduled to take place on the 23rd of June. Alongside the M3 Touring and BMW M3 Touring MotoGP Safety Car on the hill will be the new BMW M4 CSL, celebrating its UK premiere. BMW M are yet to share the official details of the M3 Touring however its rumoured to be powered by a 3.0-litre straight-six engine making 375kW and 650Nm. It will most likely be paired to the 8-speed M Steptronic transmission. Another noteworthy feature of the new M3 Touring that we’ve noticed is the adoption of BMW’s new curved display which debuted in the iX.
