It looks like the V10 era for Audi is coming to an end and this R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD is quite likely the last hurrah for the V10 powered Audi R8. The R8 looks like it will go out with a bang with a lighter, more potent and hardcore version dubbed the Audi R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD.
Hardcore Styling
The Four Rings and the “R8 GT” logo at the back have been covered in black by Audi to visually distinguish it from the other R8 models. It has a new aerodynamic body kit that was developed in the wind tunnel and constructed of carbon fiber. The R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD is painted in matte Suzuka Gray as a homage to the original R8 GT. Buyers also have the option of shiny Daytona Gray or Tango Red hues.

Interior
The interior, which is primarily black with red accents, also pays homage to the 2010 R8 GT, and a plaque with a unique number below the gear lever emphasizes the car’s limited supply. Like the special edition of the previous generation, only 333 will ever be produced and will only be offered as a coupe.

The Glorious V10
Powering the Audi R8 is the legendary 5.2-litre FSi V10 that has been bumped up to 456 kW and torque increased 565 Nm. Power is sent to rear the wheels via a new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with even faster shift times. Audi claims a 0-100 km/h sprint of just 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. The boffins from the German automaker have managed to shave 20 kg off the R8 Coupé V10 GT RWD thanks to 20-inch forged wheels with Michelin Sport Cup 2 tires and ceramic brakes. Bucket seats and a stabilizer bar made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic (CFRP) at the front axle also help with weight loss.
Just like the Audi R8 GT, the V10 GT RWD is limited to just 333 models and we’re yet to hear from Audi South Africa if Mzansi will get any allocation.
