    Mercedes-Benz’s V-Class range is undoubtedly one of the most sought-after luxury MPVs in South Africa. So, in a bid to spruce up the V-Class which is aging gracefully. Mercedes-Benz Vans South Africa recently introduced a Special EDITION exclusive to the South African market and based on the V300d.

    Unique features of the V-Class Special EDITION.

    The Special EDITION is available in three paint colours, including an exclusive Sodalite Blue Metallic, which is only available on Special EDITION units. Additionally, black trimmings around the vehicle give it a superbly sleek and sophisticated allure. First impressions matter, thus, the Special EDITION comes standard with an eye-catching roof box from the AMG range, guaranteeing its undeniable presence on the road whilst offering practical storage space for added comfort. Complete with the V-Class luxury interior design, the Special EDITION has all the creature comforts one would expect – from automatic doors to leather-clad seats and the iconic Mercedes-Benz diamond grill – as well as an array of additional features that are essential to a life of luxury.

    The interior of the V-Class allows up to six passengers. In terms of style, the V-Class Special EDITION features stylish leather-clad seating, ambient lighting, temperature-controlled cup holders, a 3.2-litre refrigerated compartment, and state-of-the-art voice control. Finally, the renowned Burmester surround sound system brings exciting surround sound into the V-Class thanks to an exceptionally well-tuned amplifier and speaker system. Fifteen speakers and a bass reflex speaker, together deliver 640 W of exceptional audio to each passenger. Visually, the Burmester logo on the speakers serves as a confirmation of the high-quality surround sound system, which promises to envelop each passenger in a legendary auditory experience.

    Safety and assistance systems

    The V-Class comes standard with an array of state-of-the-art safety systems, designed to keep passengers as safe as possible in all circumstances: Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC, Lane Keep Assist, Blind Spot Assist, Crosswind Assist, PRE-SAFE Technology, ATTENTION ASSIST, Active Brake Assist, Anti-Theft Protection Package and six airbags.

    Performance

    The Special EDITION is powered by a four-cylinder OM 654 engine with 174 kW of power and 500 Nm of torque. Furthermore, the limited edition vehicle is paired to a 9G-TRONIC Automatic Transmission.

    Pricing

    The Mercedes-Benz V 300d is priced at R2,190,000 (Including VAT). A limited number of V300d Special EDITION vehicles are now available for purchase in South Africa.
