The ISUZU Foundation is delighted to announce a significant contribution of R250,000 to three Mossel Bay charities in collaboration with IRONMAN 4 the Kidz, an official IRONMAN charity.

In line with ISUZU’s commitment to the communities it serves and the IRONMAN 4 the Kids initiative, the ISUZU Foundation has pledged R100 for each entry into the 2023 ISUZU IRONMAN 70.3 Mossel Bay. This donation is directed to three registered charities in the region, all dedicated to uplifting youth.

Established as a collaboration between ISUZU Motors South Africa and its Dealer Network, the ISUZU Foundation operates on a simple yet impactful premise. For every vehicle sold, ISUZU and its dealers contribute equally to the foundation. Since its inception in 2010, this initiative has facilitated grants exceeding R19 million, supporting approximately 95 projects.

The three beneficiary charities are Education and Training Hub for Autism (ETHAN), Creating Effective Families, and Eden Protocol. ETHAN focuses on guiding and educating children and families on supporting loved ones with autism. Creating Effective Families provides a haven and guidance for women with children who are victims of domestic violence, offering support during the recovery journey. Eden Protocol concentrates on building the confidence and resilience of youth through sports like swimming, surfing, and lifesaving, fostering new skills and reigniting hope.

Marcia Mayaba, ISUZU Department Executive for Dealer and Business Development in South African Customs Union Markets (SACU), emphasized, “As the ISUZU Foundation, we believe in the potential of our youth and recognize our duty to make a meaningful impact on their social and emotional well-being. We are truly honored to extend our support to these three charities, trusting that our contribution will significantly uplift the surrounding communities.”

The ISUZU Foundation, with its focus on projects addressing the needs of vulnerable South African communities, has touched and enriched many lives. Marcia Mayaba concluded by expressing gratitude to ISUZU Motors South Africa and the Dealer Network for their unwavering commitment, stating, “Thank you for your continued support in being bold and doing more to stand with our communities for the long run.
