    Mercedes-Benz SA releases pricing for their updated GLS and Mercedes-Maybach GLS

    Hot on the heels of the facelift of the GLE and GLE Coupé, Mercedes-Benz released pricing for their refreshed GLS and Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 4MATIC. The latest Mercedes-Benz GLS models feature several design, technology, and equipment changes, elevating both visual appeal and functional off-road capabilities. The latest GLS models offer advanced features such as new paint finishes, the latest steering wheel generation with touch controls, and enhanced voice assistant functionality. Additionally, optional upgrades include the MBUX Multi-Seat Entertainment system with up to three touchscreens and rear USB ports with 100W output.

    Notable enhancements on the GLS include, a more striking radiator grille with four louvres galvanized in high-quality Silver Shadow, redesigned bumper with integrated air inlet grilles and a surround in high-gloss black. It also comes with an enhanced rear with three horizontal blocks in the interior lights and a new 20-inch multi-spoke light-alloy wheel.

    Moving inside, it features revised interior trim finishes, including the addition of the trim element MANUFAKTUR glossy black flowing lines piano lacquer, Galvanized Silver Shadow louvres in the centre and side air vents, reminiscent of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS.

    Updated MBUX infotainment system

    The facelift GLS and Mercedes-Maybach GLS receives Mercs updated generation of the MBUX infotainment system with customizable displays and styles. The optional Off-Road Engineering adds special content into a visual experience, aided by the standard Parking Package with 360-degree camera and “transparent bonnet” function.

    The mac daddy in the range comes with distinguishing features which include vertical chrome bars, “Maybach” lettering, and Maybach patterned air inlet grilles with chrome surround. It also comes standard with ambient lighting with animated projection of the Mercedes-Maybach pattern and luxurious seat cover design.

    Mark Raine, co-CEO Mercedes-Benz South Africa, comments, “The latest GLS and GLS Maybach represent the pinnacle of luxury within the upper echelons of the SUV market. Under the visual enhancements is a state-of-the-art vehicle meticulously crafted by Mercedes-Benz.”

    GLS 450d – R2,304,700
    GLS 580 – R2,840,600
    Maybach GLS 600 – R4,500,000

    All pricing includes a 5 year/100 000km Service Plan and Maintenance Plan.
