Hino Pomona is not only the first 100% Black-owned Hino dealership in South Africa, but also the first that is 65% women-owned. This important announcement follows Isipho Capital acquiring all the assets of the Hino Pomona dealership, located at 61 Maple Road, Pomona, Kempton Park, from the Motus Group.

Expressing her excitement, Mrs. Fortunate Mdanda, a Director of Isipho Capital – Hino, stated, “We, at Isipho Capital, are truly honoured and excited to join the Hino family. We look forward to positioning our dealership as one of the star performers in Hino South Africa’s countrywide network of 67 dealerships.”

Anton Falck, Vice President of Hino South Africa, also shared his enthusiasm, emphasizing the strategic significance of Hino Pomona being situated in the rapidly expanding logistics hub of Gauteng, along the R21, and its proximity to the OR Tambo International Airport and the Ekurhuleni manufacturing hub.

Equipped to cater to both truck sales and maintenance, the Hino Pomona dealership boasts a state-of-the-art facility, including a parts and service center capable of servicing modern trucks and trailers. With offerings like 24/7 servicing, a mobile workshop for on-site repairs, and a substantial stock of genuine Hino replacement and service parts, the dealership is geared towards providing top-notch service to fleet operators.

Falck highlighted Hino’s extensive history and presence in South Africa, dating back to 1972, and emphasized the brand’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. He praised Hino’s range of modern trucks, including the 300, 500, and 700 series, assembled at their Durban plant, which has consistently earned top rankings in surveys of South African fleet operators.

“With this proven back up, both locally and globally, as well as ranges of modern trucks built for a country like ours, we are confident we will exceed our own expectations for Hino Pomona. We know the current market is tough and highly competitive but are confident the team we have put together will be up for the challenge,” concluded Ms Mdanda.
