In a historic move, the final Jaguar F-TYPE sports car produced at the brand’s Castle Bromwich manufacturing facility has joined the esteemed Jaguar Heritage collection. This event coincides with the 50th anniversary of the last Jaguar E-type rolling off the production line.
The last F-TYPE to be manufactured is a striking 5.0-liter V8 Convertible, finished in Giola Green with a black roof and a luxurious Tan Windsor leather interior. This final model pays homage to the 1974 Jaguar E-type Series III Convertible, which featured a 5.3-liter V12 engine and was registered as HDU 555N.
This special edition F-TYPE will join its legendary E-type predecessor in the official Jaguar Heritage collection, participating in various special events and activities throughout the year.

The production end of both the F-TYPE and E-type marks significant milestones in Jaguar’s history. The last E-type’s production in 1974 was followed by the introduction of the radical Jaguar XJ-S. Similarly, the final F-TYPE paves the way for Jaguar’s bold transformation with the upcoming launch of a four-door electric GT in 2025, promising a new direction for the iconic brand.
Rawdon Glover, Managing Director of Jaguar, commented: “The singular vision of Jaguar’s founder, Sir William Lyons, was to always be future-facing, relevant, and original. This has been the foundation of Jaguar through almost a century of evolving contemporary British luxury. Today, as we celebrate F-TYPE and our 75-year history of innovative Jaguar sports cars, we are also looking forward to the beginning of a new era. We will reimagine and elevate the Jaguar brand, focused on growing client intimacy and engagement, underpinned by our purpose to inspire like no other.”

First launched as a convertible in 2013, the F-TYPE was Jaguar’s first two-seat sports car in almost 40 years, earning the title of 2013 World Car Design of the Year. Since then, 87,731 F-TYPEs have been produced. The model will remain available until early 2025. Jaguar’s JDHT records show that 72,528 E-types were produced, ending with a special run of 50 cars. Both the final F-TYPE and E-type will now reside at the JDHT in Gaydon, alongside other historic models such as the last series XE, XF, and XF Sportbrake.
