Toyota records its best sales month in November, shifting 12,106 units for a total market share of 24,9% or 215 units more than the preceding month. With 7,966 passenger vehicle sales under its belt, this segment accounts for more than 65% of Toyota’s retail tally. The major benefactors in the passenger space were Corolla Cross (2,655), Starlet (1,238), Fortuner (872) and Urban Cruiser (870). Other valuable contributions came from the freshly minted Starlet Cross (710) and the Vitz (407).

Lexus maintained its market share for the month with the flagship LX being the standout model with 14 units retailed, for a total brand count of 60.

Toyota leads the LCV segment with a market share of 34,8%, the flag-bearer for the brand being the bestselling Hilux which found 2,702 new customers in November. Hiace racked up 635 sales for the month, adding some worthwhile numbers to this segment.

The Hino 300 on 122 sales led the charge for Toyota in the MCV sector, followed by the Coaster (67) and Quantum (50) – accounting for a dominant market share of 34,8%. Still with trucking, the Hino 500 deserves special mention in the month of November – it’s 92-unit sales catapulted Toyota to the number two position in the Heavy segment.
