Aston Martin has introduced the Vantage Roadster, the convertible counterpart to the Vantage Coupe. Building on the 2024 Vantage’s dynamic and luxurious credentials, the Vantage Roadster brings the excitement of open-air motoring with uncompromised performance and style.
Performance and engineering
At the heart of the Vantage Roadster is Aston Martin’s 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine, producing 490 kW and 800Nm of torque. Paired with an eight-speed paddle-shift transmission and an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, the Roadster achieves a top speed of 325 km/h and accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
The vehicle’s lightweight aluminium structure, composite body panels, and 49:51 front-to-rear weight distribution ensure optimal performance. The suspension features race-inspired double wishbones at the front and a multi-link rear axle, complemented by Bilstein DTX adaptive dampers and bespoke Michelin Pilot Sport S 5 tyres. The Vantage Roadster also incorporates an advanced traction control system with eight customizable settings.
To maintain structural rigidity and minimize weight increases, engineers developed specific solutions such as weight-optimized shear panels and strategic modifications to the body structure. These measures result in a convertible that is just 60kg heavier than the Coupe.
The Z-fold roof design is a standout feature, operating at speeds up to 31mph and taking only 6.8 seconds to open or close. With eight levels of insulation, the roof ensures cabin quietness comparable to the Coupe.

Design and customization
The Vantage Roadster retains the Coupe’s striking lines, with or without the roof. The car’s roof folds seamlessly without the need for a tonneau cover, enhancing its sleek profile. Three new paint colours—Iridescent Sapphire, Satin Iridescent Sapphire, and Bronze Flare—have been added to the palette, along with options for Black, Red, Blue, or Black and Silver roof fabrics. Buyers can further personalize their Roadster with 21” wheel styles, painted liveries, and various brake caliper colours.
Inside, the Roadster features Aston Martin’s next-generation infotainment system, first introduced on the DB12. This system combines a 10.25” touchscreen with physical switches for key functions. An accompanying app offers enhanced connectivity and control via iOS and Android devices. The standard audio system includes 11 speakers with QuantumLogic® surround sound processing, while an optional Bowers & Wilkins system provides an even more immersive audio experience.

Heritage and legacy
The Vantage Roadster continues Aston Martin’s 75-year tradition of open-top Vantage models, beginning with the DB2 Vantage in 1950. This year also marks the 20th anniversary of the V8 Vantage, the first Gaydon-built Vantage to be a standalone model with its own Roadster variant.
Adrian Hallmark, Aston Martin’s Chief Executive Officer, emphasized the Roadster’s uncompromised design: “Vantage Roadster delivers a world-class roof-down driving experience like no other, retaining the benefits of the Coupe and adding the thrill of open-air motoring.”
The Vantage Roadster is a testament to Aston Martin’s dedication to performance, innovation, and design. With its blend of cutting-edge technology, meticulous engineering, and timeless aesthetics, the Vantage Roadster promises an exhilarating driving experience for those who seek the ultimate in convertible luxury.
