Mitsubishi Motors has officially lifted the veil on its latest seven-seater midsize SUV – the all-new Destinator. Unveiled at the 32nd GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show, this family-centric SUV has been designed with adventure, comfort, and everyday practicality in mind.

Muscular and modern exterior design
The Destinator embraces Mitsubishi’s bold SUV DNA with a commanding design that’s both practical and stylish. Up front, it wears a striking acrylic grille flanked by LED lighting, while a horizontal nose profile and sculpted lines convey power and stability. Mitsubishi’s signature Dynamic Shield face gives it a sense of strength and protection.
Along the sides, chunky 18-inch wheels, wide fender flares and high ground clearance give it proper SUV presence, while the rear sports T-shaped LED taillights and a hexagonal motif inspired by classic Pajeros, adding a nostalgic yet modern touch.

Destinator dimensions
The exterior dimensions of the Destinator are as follows:
Length – 4,680 mm
Width – 1,840 mm
Height – 1,780 mm
Wheelbase – 2,815 mm
Ground clearance – 244 mm

Premium interior for seven people
Step inside the Destinator, and you’re welcomed by a high-quality, spacious cabin that’s clearly designed with families in mind. There’s a full three-row layout with seating for seven, and each row offers ample head- and legroom. The premium materials, soft-touch surfaces and flowing design give it an upscale feel.
A panoramic sunroof and 64-color ambient lighting add an extra sense of luxury, while the large 12.3-inch infotainment screen and 8-inch digital cluster keep things modern and connected. The Yamaha-tuned 8-speaker sound system further enhances the in-car experience.

Practicality
The Destinator doesn’t just look the part – it’s cleverly practical too. Mitsubishi has made smart use of space, offering numerous cupholders, seatback trays, USB Type A and C ports for all rows, and even air vents for the third row.
Boot space is impressive even with all seats up, and with the 40:20:40 split-folding second row and 50:50 third row, there’s a variety of configurations available for cargo and passengers. It’s the kind of SUV designed to handle everything from daily school runs to cross-country family holidays.
Safety and driver assistance features
Mitsubishi hasn’t held back on safety. The Destinator is equipped with the full suite of Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing tech, including Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Mitigation, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Automatic High Beams, and a Multi-Around Monitor for tight parking spots.
In addition to six airbags and a high-rigidity body structure designed to absorb impact, it also features emergency connectivity that can call for help in case of a crash.

Powertrain
Under the hood of the Destinator is a 1.5-litre MIVEC turbocharged petrol engine pushing out 120 kW and 250 Nm. The powerplant is solely paired with a CVT gearbox.
Despite being front-wheel drive, it borrows Mitsubishi’s famed all-wheel control tech with Active Yaw Control, traction management, and five driving modes – Normal, Tarmac, Gravel, Mud, and Wet – offering confident performance across varied road conditions.
Availability
The Destinator is set to launch in multiple global markets including Africa, and is produced in Indonesia, where Mitsubishi has become a hub for global model development.
