Salvador Caetano Auto South Africa has partnered with Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer JMC to distribute its products locally. The move aims to strengthen JMC’s footprint in the country while offering local customers improved service, parts support, and a refreshed vehicle lineup.

Under this new partnership, Salvador Caetano becomes the official distributor of JMC vehicles in South Africa, with a focus on work-ready solutions for both lifestyle and commercial customers.

Founded in 1946, the Salvador Caetano Group operates in over 40 countries and employs more than 7,000 people. The group brings decades of global automotive experience, now aligned with JMC’s mission to deliver durable and affordable vehicles to emerging markets.

JMC will kick off its local return with the current Vigus pickup in 2025, followed by a new version in early 2026 featuring single and double cab options. The Grand Avenue SUV will also join the lineup, along with the Carrying Plus range for heavy-duty commercial use.

The partnership promises a stronger presence for JMC in South Africa, backed by local support, reliable parts availability, and a growing range of vehicles built for local business needs.
