Mitsubishi Motors has officially taken the wraps off the all-new, fully electric Eclipse Cross, and this one is a game-changer. Built on the CMF-EV platform and developed under an OEM agreement with the Renault Group, the new Eclipse Cross marks Mitsubishi’s next big step in its electrification strategy for Europe. With a claimed range of up to 600 km (WLTP), Google built-in, and an impressive suite of safety tech, this is one compact SUV you’ll want to keep an eye on.

Exterior – smart, strong, and stylish
Mitsubishi describes the design concept as “Smart Armor” – and it definitely looks the part. At the front, the signature Dynamic Shield grille has evolved with a bold, three-dimensional honeycomb pattern and sleek LED headlights that give the SUV a modern, assertive face.
From the side, flowing J-shaped daytime running lights and taut body lines create an athletic stance, while distinctive 20-inch alloy wheels complete the look. At the rear, the Hexagonal Stability design with sculpted surfaces and horizontal taillights makes the Eclipse Cross appear wider and more planted on the road – perfect for that strong SUV presence buyers love.

Interior – smart and sporty
Step inside and you’ll find a cabin designed around a “Sporty and Modern” theme. Satin silver accents run horizontally across the dashboard, giving the cabin a clean, spacious feel. Seating is a two-row, five-passenger layout, and Mitsubishi has paid attention to comfort with supportive seats featuring diamond-pattern stitching for a premium touch.
The cabin can be tailored to your mood thanks to 48-color ambient lighting that even changes with the selected drive mode. The electrochromic panoramic roof is another highlight, letting you choose between a fully clear view, full shading, or a split configuration – ideal for hot summer drives.
Tech-wise, the Eclipse Cross gets a large 12.3-inch vertical touchscreen running the latest Google built-in system, so apps like Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play are right at your fingertips. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are supported, and music lovers will appreciate the Harman Kardon premium sound system with multiple listening modes.
Safety – packed with driver assistance systems
Mitsubishi hasn’t cut corners when it comes to safety. The new Eclipse Cross offers up to 20 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), including the brand’s MI-PILOT highway assist feature and Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA). The car uses a mix of cameras, radar, and ultrasonic sensors to monitor its surroundings, giving drivers extra peace of mind on busy roads or when parking.

Powertrains
Powering the new Eclipse Cross is an 87 kWh battery delivering approximately 600 km of driving range per charge (WLTP). Performance is respectable too, with 160 kW of power and 300 Nm of torque on tap for instant EV acceleration. Mitsubishi also offers four levels of regenerative braking, selectable via paddle shifters, and even a one-pedal driving mode for smooth city driving.
Charging is quick and convenient, with 22 kW AC charging as standard and 150 kW DC fast charging supported. Mitsubishi says a medium-range model focusing on affordability and everyday use will be added to the lineup soon.
