Suzuki Auto South Africa continues to build on its momentum, closing September 2025 with another strong performance and setting new milestones along the way.

According to the latest naamsa report, Suzuki sold 6,072 new vehicles in September, marking the third month in a row the brand has passed the 6,000-unit mark. It is also the tenth consecutive month that Suzuki has ranked second overall among South African manufacturers.

The Swift continues to be the brand’s star performer, contributing 2,265 units to September’s total. It was followed by the Fronx with 1,054 units and the family-focused Ertiga with 765 units.

The strong September results capped off a record-breaking first half of Suzuki Auto South Africa’s 2025/2026 financial year. Between April and September, the company sold 35,597 vehicles, which is 7,338 more than in the same period last year. In that time, Suzuki also celebrated a few major milestones, including its 300,000th local customer in April and its highest-ever dealer sales of 5,069 units in July. A month later, it achieved a new all-time monthly record with 6,399 vehicles sold.

Suzuki’s success comes from its expanding dealer network and a product range that caters to a wide variety of customers. The Swift remains the top seller with 11,599 units sold over the past six months, followed by the Fronx with 7,001 and the Ertiga with 5,139. The line-up now includes 16 models, ranging from affordable first-time buyer cars to practical SUVs and capable off-roaders.

“I am exceptionally proud of what our team at Suzuki Auto South Africa has achieved in the first half of the 2025/2026 financial year,” says Henno Havenga, GM of Auto Sales and Marketing at Suzuki Auto South Africa. “This milestone is a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone in the organisation, and especially our 117-strong dealer network who represent the Suzuki brand with such genuine pride, passion and care.”

With its record-setting first half and growing local footprint, Suzuki Auto South Africa looks set to continue its strong run into the remainder of the financial year.
