Porsche has revealed the 2026 Cayenne Electric, marking the next major step in the evolution of its best known SUV. The original Cayenne reshaped the brand back in 2002 and the fully electric version now joins the combustion and plug in hybrid models rather than replacing them.
Two model lineup at launch
The electric range starts with the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric. Both use all wheel drive and Porsche’s latest electric drive systems. The standard model produces 300 kW in everyday driving, rising to 325 kW with Launch Control for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 4.5 seconds.
The Turbo model sits at the top with up to 850 kW and 1,500 Nm when maximum output is available. It reaches 100 km/h in 2.4 seconds and runs the quarter mile in 9.9 seconds. In normal mode it delivers 630 kW and can add a short 130 kW boost through a Push to Pass function.
Energy recuperation and braking
Porsche says the new model can recuperate up to 600 kW under braking, which means most braking events in daily driving are handled by the motors alone. Mechanical brakes step in only when needed. Ceramic brakes remain optional for the Turbo.
Chassis and handling systems
Adaptive air suspension with PASM is fitted as standard. The Turbo adds torque vectoring on the rear axle. Rear axle steering is available for both models while Porsche Active Ride is offered on the flagship Turbo for improved body control, stability and comfort.

Charging and battery performance
A new 113 kWh battery forms the heart of the system. With 800 volt technology, charging speeds can reach up to 400 kW in ideal conditions. Porsche claims a 10 to 80 percent charge in under 16 minutes.
The Cayenne Electric is also the first Porsche to support optional inductive charging at up to 11 kW. Users simply park over a floor plate to begin charging.
Exterior design and aerodynamics
The design keeps familiar Cayenne proportions but introduces a cleaner, more modern look. Slim LED headlights, frameless doors, a new rear light strip and refined surfacing push the SUV into a more contemporary space. The drag coefficient is 0.25, helped by active aero elements such as cooling flaps, an adaptive spoiler and active aero blades on the Turbo.
Space, practicality and towing
The electric model is 55 mm longer than the petrol version and has a wheelbase of 3,023 mm, which increases rear legroom. The rear seats are electrically adjustable as standard. Boot space ranges from 781 to 1,588 litres, plus a 90 litre front trunk. The towing capacity is 3,500 kg when correctly equipped.
Interior tech and comfort features
Inside, the Cayenne Electric uses Porsche’s new display layout with a curved OLED centre screen supported by physical controls for frequently used functions. A fully digital instrument cluster is standard, with an optional passenger display.
The head up display now uses augmented reality, projecting information as if it sits several metres ahead. Mood Modes adjust ambient lighting, displays, sound and seating position. The panoramic roof uses a liquid crystal layer that switches between clear and tinted settings. Interior surface heating extends warmth to armrests and door panels.

Customisation options
Buyers can choose from 13 exterior colours, multiple wheel designs from 20 to 22 inches and a broad selection of interior packages. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur also offers deeper customisation including Paint to Sample and special one off builds.
Digital systems and connectivity
The updated Voice Pilot uses AI to handle more natural commands. The onboard app centre supports streaming, gaming and a wider range of third party apps. A Digital Key turns the driver’s smartphone or smartwatch into a vehicle key and access can be shared with up to seven users.
